Mundie Moms let us know that Alex Pettyfer, fan favorite to play the role of Jace Wayland, has been offered the role. There's no report if he has accepted the offer, but hopefully all the fans make him accept the role. Every fan will be happy if he accepts the role.
There's no denying this tidbit is a relief for the bajillions of fans dying to see Alex wear the runes, but the news also came with a troubling addendum. Vulture's source added that Screen Gems chief Clint Culpepper feels so strongly about Alex in this role that if the 20-year-old does not sign on, "City of Bones" (the series' first installment) might not get made at all. Nooooooo! With Alex's busy schedule (he recently added race-car thriller "Shunt: The Story of James Hunt" to his schedule), there's a possibility the actor may just not have the time to play our favorite Shadowhunter.
Let's hope he accepts.
